MS Dhoni gets the country’s third-highest civilian award – Padma Bhushan.

Former Indian Cricket team skipper MS Dhoni has been awarded as Padma Bhushan.
MS Dhoni is 11th cricketer who is been awarded as this prestigious award.

In 2009 MS has got Padma shri which is fourth-highest civilian award.

Padma bhushan is awarded to a person for “distinguished service of a high order”
And Padma shri for “distinguished service ”.

List of award MSD owns:

Rajiv Gandhi khel ratna –2007

Padma Shri – 2009

ICC ODI Cricketer of year – 2008,2009 (first player to win this award twice)

CNN-IBN Indian of the year in sports – 2011

ICC ODI team of year – 2006 ,then 2008 till 2014 which is been highest no of entries till date by player 8 entries so far .(with 7 entries AB De Villiers is at 2.)
MSDHONI had also been captain for ICC ODI Team for year 2009 then 2011 till 2014.

Padma Bhushan – 2018 .

Considered as India’s most Successful cricket captain, Under his captaincy India Won World Cup for 2 times the 2011 ICC world cup, and 2007 ICC T20 World Cup. It was under Dhoni’s captaincy India reached no 1 in test ranking in year 2009.

Dhoni is Only captain to win All the ICC trophy’s.

 He is just 102 runs Short to reach 10,000 ODI runs and he will be 4th Indian batsmen to reach this milestone.

Last cricketer who had this awarded was RAHUL DRAVID in year 2013.
